picture after retouching

Used graphic program:

When moving the cursor above the picture on the left - the same picture before the edition appear.

Picture used in this tutorial comes from the site: www.buy-photo.eu

1. Open Photoshop.

2. Open the picture destined to processing.

File » Open or Ctrl + O
...or by double-clicking the left mouse button on the dark-grey program background.

3. Lets start from copying the layer containing picture:
Choose from program menu: Layer » New » Layer via Copy or press Ctrl + J.
In the "layers" boomark appears the new layer - "clone" of processed picture:

Photoshop - layers bookmark

Notice that the icon Lock Position is checked by default. Very good. It prevents from unintentional moving of the copied picture.
We are working on this new layer now – it should be highlighted (blue).

4. By using the Zoom Tool zoom tool - mark out the eye together with skin area under it to enlarge.

5. Choose the Patch Tool Photoshop - patch tool (J) from the toolbox (If you don't see it in the toolbox - clik the right mouse button on Healing Brush Tool Photoshop - healing brush tool and from the appearing menu - choose the Path Tool. Use it to mark out all the shadow under eye. The program will create the selection to inform us which area will is to be "patched up".

selected shadow under eye

Using the same tool - grab the selection with the cursor and move it to the skin under eye, which is homogenous (uncolored).

moving shadow

Release the mouse button.
We see that the shade disappeared. In its place appeared the "clon" of the earlier selected picture fragment. Result looks a little bit unnaturally, but don't worry about it. We will fix it in a moment.
Now perform the same process with the second eye.
OK. Shades disappeared, but the face looks a little bit unnaturally – skin under eyes is too smooth.

The whole process was executed on identical copy of the picture which is covering original picture. So reduce the opacity layer of the copy approximately to 50-60% to make original picture appear through the copy. For this purpose, click a little triangle close to field of opacity value above layers, and move slider to the left. Situate percentage value to get satisfying result.

change opacity level

And the final result (move the cursor above it):

That's all.
