When moving the cursor above the image on the left - the image before the processing appears.
1. Open the Photoshop program.
2. Open the photo purposed to processing.
Choose: File » Open from main menu, or press Ctrl + O keys
...or by double clicking the left mouse button on the dark grey application background.
3. Now you have to only:
The first method:
Choose: Image » Mode » Grayscale from the menu.
Done :)
The second method (often gives better results):
Choose: Image » Mode » Lab Color from the menu.
Then click Channels bookmark (implicitly in the same panel as Layers bookmark) and click the Lightness component.
Done.
The photo turns into black and white but it is not over (because after saving, image would still be colourful).
Choose: Image » Mode » Grayscale from the menu.
Now it's over.
